BrickEdge is an independent hobbyist app for cataloguing LEGO® sets. In short: your collection stays on your device.

Data we store

Everything you create in BrickEdge — your set collection, profile (name, avatar, bio), badges and progress — is stored locally on your device in an on-device database. There is no account system, and your collection is never uploaded, synced, or transmitted to any server we control. Deleting the app deletes this data — use the in-app backup/export first if you want to keep it.

Camera and photos

BrickEdge can use your camera or photo library to capture or pick an image to identify a set. That image is sent to the recognition service Brickognize to return a matching set. Images are used only for that request and are not stored by BrickEdge. You are asked for permission only when you use these features.

Third-party data sources

When you browse or search sets, the app requests catalog data from:

These requests contain the set or part you are looking up, but not your identity or collection. Each service handles requests under its own privacy policy.

Analytics and tracking

BrickEdge contains no advertising, no third-party analytics, and no tracking SDKs. We do not build a profile of you or share data with advertisers.

Children

BrickEdge does not knowingly collect personal information from children. No personal data leaves your device other than the set lookups and optional image recognition described above.
